The Vauxhall Corsa Electric has been named ‘Best Electric Small Car’ by Diesel&EcoCar Magazine in the 2024 EcoCar Electrified Top 50 awards.

Now in its third year, the EcoCar Electrified Top 50 awards celebrate the finest new electric cars, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles available today. Judges praised Corsa Electric for its choice of efficient electric powertrains and value-for-money as one of the UK’s most accessible electric vehicles.

Ian Robertson, Editor, Diesel&EcoCar Magazine, said: “The Corsa is our Best Electric Small Car for 2024, because not only was it improved by a facelift that ushered in a new look, but it also gained an updated Stellantis set of goodies. This includes a new 154bhp electric motor and 51kWh battery, boosting range to 248 miles. For those happy with a 221-mile range, the Corsa Electric is offered in a YES Edition with a bargain £26,895 price tag (and cheap finance deals) that makes it one of the most easily attainable electric vehicles on sale in the UK today. But this is no stripped-out base model, it’s packed to the gills with equipment and fantastic value for money.”

James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “The Corsa Electric is the UK’s favourite electric supermini, topping the sales charts in 2023 and the year to date. With the launch of the new YES Edition, the Corsa Electric now offers better value than ever before, with a lower monthly cost than the equivalent petrol model – helping more of Britain make the switch to electric.”

The Corsa Electric YES Edition is priced at £26,895, lowering the entry point to the Corsa Electric line-up by £5,550. Thanks to Vauxhall’s innovative five-year PCP offer, the YES Edition is available from just £251 per month – £23 per month less than the equivalent petrol variant.

The Corsa Electric YES Edition features a 136PS electric motor and 50kWh battery providing a range of up to 221 miles (WLTP) and can be re-charged from 0-80% in just 30 minutes from a 100kW rapid charger. The YES Edition features eye-catching styling from the GS version, with a contrasting black roof and a choice of paint colours, including exclusive Record Red, all at no extra cost (saving up to £700). Inside, the driver and front passenger enjoy sports-style front seats with red accents, while signature YES Edition badging is displayed on the dashboard.

Customers can also choose the Corsa Electric Long Range, which is equipped with a next generation 51kWh battery paired with a 115kW (156 PS) motor and is available in GS and Ultimate trims. This combination delivers a compelling blend of power and efficiency, with 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and a potential range of 248 miles (WLTP), making the model perfectly well-suited for short hauls and longer trips alike.
