Vauxhall continued its strong UK sales performance in May, with the Corsa leading the B-Hatch segment so far in 2024, and the brand increasing its total van sales volume by 15% compared to last year, according to the latest new vehicle registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)

The Corsa is the best-selling B-Hatch in its segment so far this year, with 2,661 sold in May alone. The Corsa Electric was also the best-selling electric supermini in May and year-to-date, with 1,717 registered so far in 2024.

In the LCV market, Vauxhall’s total van sales volume increased by 21.5% over May last year and is up 15% year-to-date, in a market that is up by 7%. Vauxhall is the UK’s third best-selling LCV manufacturer, with 14,011 registrations so far in 2024. The brand’s share of the LCV market also increased by 1.25 percentage points in May compared to the same month last year, rising to 8.08%. Vauxhall’s year-to-date LCV market share is now at 9.46% (an increase of 0.63 percentage points).
