In a move to refine its recently implemented 20mph speed limit across Wales, the Welsh Government has unveiled a series of adjustments following a period of public consultation.
Roads could start going back up to 30mph by the end of the year, the Welsh government has announced, just months after lower speed limits were put in place.

Transport Secretary Ken Skates has announced that there will be significant changes to the 20mph speed limit policy in Wales.
This enforcement marks a shift from the initial six-month grace period following the September 2023 implementation of the reduced speed limit.
The outgoing First Minister said those who “deliberately” break the law will face consequences but that police will not jump straight to enforcement if people have simply “misunderstood”.
The long-awaited enforcement of Wales’ blanket 20mph speed limit is set to begin tomorrow (Sunday 17th December 2023), much to the dismay of many drivers who have expressed their concerns about the impact of this reduction on traffic flow and road safety.
