Construction work on the £315m Circuit of Wales project is set to begin early in the New Year, it has emerged.
Preparation groundwork is due to start in January, while it is hoped construction work on the site in Blaenau Gwent will start in late February or early March.
Vauxhall is offering £500 free fuel on selected new models ordered before 11 January. (more…)

Vauxhall will publish figures recorded during the World Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) alongside its regular fuel consumption and CO2 figures. The first vehicle to have its WLTP figures published will be the new Astra. (more…)

The Driver Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has acknowledged that the root cause of a small number of fires in Zafira B vehicles is improper repair of the thermal fuse of the resistor in the heating and ventilation system, undertaken outside of Vauxhall’s authorised service and maintenance processes and schedule.

The price of petrol in the UK has fallen below £1 per litre for the first time in six years.
Supermarket Morrisons today announced it would be selling petrol at 99.9p per litre, as well as cutting diesel prices by 1p per litre. The company said its price cut would save the average driver around £17 per week when filling up, compared to the price hikes experienced in May 2011. (more…)
