Vauxhall Launches New PCP Offers on Electric Models, Bringing Total Monthly Ownership Costs in Line with Petrol Versions

To make the switch to electric as accessible as possible, Vauxhall has launched updated PCP offers on its latest Electric models, bringing total monthly ownership costs (including running costs) in line with the equivalent petrol versions.

Vauxhall has implemented a number of measures to reduce monthly payments when compared to previous offers. The latest PCP offers are available on All-New Astra Electric, New Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric.

Introduction of Design trim

Vauxhall’s entry-level Design trim is now available across its latest electric passenger car models. This new entry point makes Vauxhall’s electric range more accessible to consumers looking to start their electric journey, whilst continuing to deliver a high level of specification, with features such as automatic LED headlights, parking sensors and cruise control included as standard.

More accessible finance

Unique amongst manufacturers, Vauxhall’s innovative five-year PCP allows monthly payments to be spread over a longer period, while lower APR rates of 5.9% mean Vauxhall’s finance offers are now more accessible. Customers can also benefit from substantial Vauxhall deposit contributions of £7,000 on Mokka Electric Design, £5,400 on New Corsa Electric Design and £2,750 on All-New Astra Electric Design.

Total monthly cost parity

Customers opting for electric vehicles also benefit from savings of approximately £120 per month on running costs. For drivers covering 833 miles per month (just under 10,000 miles per year), an All-New Astra Electric Design uses just £13.88 of electricity, thanks to impressive efficiency of 4.2 miles per kWh (WLTP). In contrast, an Astra Design 1.2 110PS uses £113.03 of fuel per month†.

Thanks to the current exemption on Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) for electric vehicles, All-New Astra Electric, New Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric buyers save £15.62 per month over four years compared to the equivalent petrol model. Servicing costs are also cheaper, with a Vauxhall Fixed Price Service Care Plan costing £12.64 per month on Electric models versus £19.57 for petrol models, representing a saving of £6.93 per month.

Combined with the steps taken to reduce monthly PCP payments, this means customers can enjoy near-identical total monthly ownership costs compared to equivalent petrol models.

Vauxhall now offers six fully electric passenger vehicles across its line-up and will offer a fully electric version of every model from 2024.
