The Vauxhall Corsa is the UK’s best-selling supermini for the third year in a row, according to the 2023 new car registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

With 40,816 units sold, the Corsa not only proved to be the most popular supermini on the market in 2023 but was also the country’s third best-selling car overall. It outsold the second best-selling model in the supermini segment by 55.5% (14568 cars).

Vauxhall’s electric line-up also proved popular with buyers, as the Corsa Electric became the UK’s best-selling small electric car with 3,052 sold. The Mokka Electric was also the best-selling electric B-SUV model in 2023, with 6,962 sold.

In overall car sales, Vauxhall ranked 7th in 2023 with 100,417 – 19.9% (16,726) more than 2022 in a market that was up 17.9%. This corresponds to a market share of 5.28%, an increase of 0.07 percentage points on 2022.

The New Corsa features Vauxhall’s distinctive Vizor front end and an upgraded interior with a new 10-inch touchscreen, while Vauxhall’s class-leading IntelliLux LED® Pixel Matrix light technology is available on Ultimate models. Customers can choose from a range of efficient petrol engines, while the New Corsa Electric is available with two electric powertrains including a new 51kWh battery offering a range of up to 246 miles (WLTP). Prices for the New Corsa start from £19,625.
