Vauxhall’s Corsa range continued its strong UK sales performance in August, topping the charts in two segments according to the latest new car registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The Corsa was the best-selling B-Hatch in August as well as year-to-date, whilst also being the second best-selling car overall in the UK so far this year, with 25,692 units sold. The Corsa Electric also remains the best-selling Small Electric Car (Electric B-Hatch) so far in 2023, with 2,220 sold year-to-date.

The Mokka Electric also remains the best-selling Small Electric SUV (Electric B-SUV) so far this year, with 6,062 sold year-to-date.

Vauxhall will become an electric-only brand by 2028, seven years ahead of the UK Government deadline.

James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “It is exciting to see the Corsa continue to excel in the sales charts in both Electric and petrol variants. The success of the Corsa Electric is testament to our commitment to spearheading the UK’s transition to electrification.”

The New Corsa features Vauxhall’s bold and pure Vizor front end across the range as well as a number of additional styling and technology improvements, while fully electric models are available with Vauxhall’s next-generation 51kWh battery for a range of up to 246 miles (WLTP). Orders are open now, with prices starting from £19,625 and first deliveries in Q4 2023.
