The UK’s best-selling car in 2021, the Corsa has remained popular with buyers this year, and is now once again the best-selling car in the country for the first four months of 2023, with 14,034 units sold.
The Vauxhall Astra, Corsa and Vivaro were also celebrated, taking home the ‘Best Lower Medium Fleet Car’, ‘Best Fleet Supermini’, and ‘Medium Van of the Year’ titles, respectively.

With 5,014 sold in June, and 22,212 in total for the first half of 2022, the Corsa is also the best-selling B-segment vehicle so far this year. The all-electric Corsa-e has been named the best-selling electric supermini for the first half of the year, with 2,677 registrations so far in 2022.
With 4,399 units sold in May, the Corsa was the best-selling B-segment car in the UK and remains the country’s best-selling car year-to-date with 17,198 registrations so far in 2022.
Vauxhall’s new line-up is continuing to grow in popularity in the retail car market as the British brand registered the largest private market share growth of any manufacturer so far this year, according to the latest new car registration figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
The move leaves the firm’s best-selling hatchback with existing petrol options, as well as a fully electric powertrain in the Corsa-e. This announcement also ends a 35-year run of diesel-powered Corsa models.
The new range comprises of three versions: Design, GS Line and Ultimate.
