About SWVaux

SWVaux is a non-profit club for anyone who owns, drives, or simply loves Vauxhalls and Opels. We welcome everyone to join our community and share their passion for these iconic car brands. We are open to new ideas and suggestions, and all member input is valued to help the club grow.

SWVaux operates primarily online, allowing for easy communication and connection among members across the country.

💎 Benefits of Membership

Becoming a member of SWVaux offers several advantages, including:

  • Priority Access: First-come-first-served access to club-organised shows (subject to space availability).
  • Events: Invitations to exclusive SWVaux events.
  • Perks: Discounts and special offers from select retailers and traders.
  • Merchandise: The opportunity to purchase official SWVaux clothing and accessories.

💰 Membership Fees & Funding

We currently do not collect mandatory membership fees and run solely on donations.

If we begin collecting membership fees in the future: 1. Processing: Fees will be handled through PayPal for easy tracking and administration. 2. Usage: Fees will contribute to running costs, such as web hosting, domains, show equipment (banners, marquees), and administrative expenses. 3. Surplus: Any excess funds will be used to promote the club and benefit members. Members can suggest and vote on usage, with final approval from the Club Admin.

👥 Club Staff

Currently, Matthew oversees the club, acting as Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Organiser. As the club grows, we will re-evaluate the need for additional staff to distribute the workload.

The Facebook group is managed by a dedicated team of volunteers who contribute their time to building and supporting the SWVaux community.

📜 Club Rules & Code of Conduct

To ensure a positive and respectful environment, we have established the following rules:

  • Conduct: Members representing SWVaux at shows or events are expected to maintain a positive image. Unacceptable conduct (as determined by Club Admin) will result in a warning. Repeat offenses will lead to a ban.
  • Safety: Members organising meets must obtain landowner permission beforehand to comply with local regulations.
  • Finances: Any member or staff member authorised to spend club funds must provide receipts for record-keeping.
  • Intellectual Property: Using the SWVaux logo or name requires prior authorisation from the Club Admin.
  • Bans: Members banned from the website will automatically be banned from the club.
  • Fee Policy: In the event fees are charged, they are non-refundable. If a member is banned for conduct violations, they forfeit their membership fee.
