Vauxhall/Opel is testing the prototype of the facelifted Zafira MPV.
That said, judging by the level of camouflage this vehicle is covered in, we can be sure to see the Zafira facelift in showrooms shortly. Most likely, the facelift brought in the Zafira range will be launched before this year ends.
A quick look at the prototype reveals significant changes at the front, along with modifications to the car’s rear end. The profile of the Zafira Tourer does not seem too changed, except for the sides of the front and rear bumpers that are extended to the car’s profile.
The front of the Zafira Tourer is expected to feature a design that will bring it closer to the new generation Astra. This means a set of new headlights with a more aggressive look, a new front grille with a different shape and a changed pattern, as well as a new front bumper.
The “boomerangs” on the Zafira Tourer’s front bumper don’t seem to have been eliminated with the facelift, but they will now be in the same color as the body.
The rear lights of the Zafira appear unchanged, but there is still some camouflage around them. However, the rear hatch door and the rear bumper will get some changes. Most likely, the rear lights will get a different interior graphic, but not one that’s dramatically changed, and rather adapted to what we can currently see in the Astra range.
On the interior, the prototype in the shots provided by our spy photographers hides its changes pretty well. Fortunately, we know what to expect from the Zafira Tourer facelift.
Like the smaller models in the range, the compact MPV will receive a thoughtfully updated infotainment system, which will feature OnStar technology and more connectivity options.
We expect the Zafira facelift to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, the MPV should receive more technology on the convenience side, and on the active safety spectrum. The facelift might also bring updated power plants and transmissions.
