Vauxhall has announced pricing and specification for the Combo Life Electric and Vivaro Life Electric. The passenger vehicles are ideal for leisure, long-distance travel or as shuttle vehicles.

In line with Vauxhall’s strategy to offer a fully electric version of every model in its line-up by the end of this year, both models are available with efficient electric powertrains, creating a quiet and refined experience for all occupants.
The two Vauxhall newcomers immediately make a statement with a redesigned front end. Both vehicles now feature the bold and pure Vauxhall Vizor for the first time, with the Vauxhall Griffin logo in the centre. Inside, both models have a fully digital cockpit and the driver and front passenger benefit from intuitive infotainment systems with 10-inch colour touchscreens based on the Snapdragon® Cockpit platform from Qualcomm Technologies.
Combo Life Electric
The Vauxhall Combo Life Electric combines new technologies, connectivity solutions and comfort details to create the ideal family vehicle. The Combo Life Electric is available in two lengths. The standard version offers space for up to five people with three individual seats in the second row providing drivers with additional flexibility and customisation. The Combo Life Electric XL can accommodate up to seven passengers seated across three rows, with two individual split-folding and removable third-row seats, and a sliding facility for its third-row seats, ideal for passenger comfort.
Depending on the seating configuration, the new Combo Life offers between 597 and 2,693 litres of load volume. The unique access option to the cargo area via the separately opening window in the tailgate and the horizontally foldable passenger seat backrest are particularly practical when loading the vehicle.
The fully electric Combo Life Electric is equipped with a 52kWh battery, which is located underfloor. It can travel up to 199 miles (WLTP) on a single charge – approximately 25 miles (14 per cent) more than the previous model, thanks to development of the fully electric drivetrain and the highly efficient optional heat pump, which helps to conserve battery range in low temperatures. With 100kW (DC) rapid charging capability, the battery can be recharged to 80 per cent of its capacity in around 30 minutes at a suitable public charging station. Drivers have the option to select Eco, Normal and Power driving modes. The Combo Life Electric also has regenerative braking to ensure energy-efficient driving, which can easily be adjusted using paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
Safety is a top priority for Vauxhall and the new Combo Life Electric offers up to 18 state-of-the-art driver assistance systems. This includes Intelli-Grip with hill descent control, sensors at the front and rear as well as flank guard. For the first time in its history, the Combo Life Electric comes with adaptive, glare-free IntelliLux LED® Matrix headlights. A total of 14 LED elements – seven on each side – ensure that the road is optimally illuminated in the dark without glaring other road users and have been proven to improve the amount of time drivers have to react.
The IntelliLux LED® Pixel Matrix lights allow a vehicle to detect an object 30 to 40 metres earlier than with conventional halogen or HID systems when travelling at 50mph. This gives the driver between 1.3 and 1.8 seconds more time to react.
The Vauxhall Combo Life Electric is available in two trim levels, Design and Ultimate. Combo Life Electric Design is packed with plenty of useful features as standard, including a multimedia audio system with a 10-inch HD touchscreen, Mirror Screen, 4G connectivity, voice control and Vauxhall Connect.
Combo Life Electric Ultimate adds the Multimedia Navi Pro infotainment system, a panoramic rear-view camera, a heated leather steering wheel and dual-zone electronic climate control. Ultimate trim also features black gloss side-protection mouldings, black painted door mirrors and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Vivaro Life Electric
New Vivaro Life Electric is ideal for large families, shuttle services and anyone who needs a spacious, comfortable and flexible vehicle. The large people carrier is available in two lengths and three trim levels: Combi, Design and Ultimate. In addition, it be configured with four different seating arrangements, capable of accommodating up to nine people:
- 3+3+3 – ideal for use as a shuttle vehicle. Available in Combi trim, offering exceptional value.
- 2+3+3 – versatile layout, equally suitable for use as a shuttle or leisure vehicle. Available on Design and Ultimate trims
- 2+2+3 – offers a more luxurious passenger experience. Available in Ultimate trim when fitted with optional F2F Rear Seat Pack (2nd row).
- 2+2+2 VIP Pack – features six individual leather armchairs and a foldable sliding table. The second row of seats can be fitted so that passengers sit face-to-face (F2F) – perfect for business meetings or socialising. Available in Ultimate trim when fitted with optional F2F Rear Seat Packs (2nd and 3rd rows).
Vivaro Life Electric is available in two lengths. It is available as standard at 4.96m or in XL form, at just over 5.3m to offer even greater passenger leg room in the 2nd and 3rd rows. New Vivaro Life has a load volume of up to 1,500 litres in the configuration with nine seats. With five seats, up to 3,000 litres can be transported and 4,200 or 4,900 litres with two or three people on board, depending on the length of model specified.
For easy access, all Vivaro Life Electric models have nearside and offside sliding side-access doors with fixed windows. The passenger vehicle has remote control central deadlocking and selective door locking.
As standard, the New Vivaro Life Electric Combi is equipped with a 10-inch HD touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring and Vauxhall Connect, which can be operated through voice recognition. The infotainment system also includes DAB digital radio and 4G connectivity.
Design trim has additional stylish features, including tinted rear windows and tailgate, full diameter wheel trims and body-coloured bumpers. Inside, Vivaro Life Electric Design has mistral black side trim panels with decorative inserts and a premium woven roof trim. Also included is the Acoustic Pack, which adds motor and cabin noise absorbers for a quiet and refined driving experience.
Vauxhall Vivaro Life Electric Ultimate contains all the features of Design trim with the addition of TOSCA premium speakers, leather seat trim, dual-zone electronic climate control, a heated leather steering wheel, and heated driver and front passenger seats with massage facility for added comfort. For passengers, there are roof-mounted rear heater controls and rear seat back tables. To ensure optimum convenience, Ultimate trim also includes keyless entry and start, and an automatic anti-dazzle rear view mirror.
All Vivaro Life Electric models are equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance features, including: Eco LED headlights with high beam assist, rain-sensitive windscreen wipers, intelligent speed assistance, lane keeping assist, advance emergency braking system and rear parking sensors. Ultimate models add a 180-degree reversing camera and blind spot detection, while Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go is available as an optional extra.
The Vivaro Life Electric is available with a 75kWh battery and 136PS electric motor, providing a range of up to 217 miles (WLTP). A 50kWh battery is also available for Vivaro Life Electric Combi and Combi XL with a range of 139 miles (WLTP). To further increase energy-efficiency, the Vivaro Life Electric has three levels of regenerative braking, which can be adjusted using paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel. The Vivaro Life Electric features a 7.4kW on-board charger as standard, with an 11kW charger available as an option. At a 100kW DC rapid charging station, the 50kWh battery can be charged to 80 per cent of its capacity in around 38 minutes, while the 75kWh battery takes 45 minutes.
