The Vauxhall Corsa Electric YES Edition has been named ‘Best Value Car’ at the 2025 Parkers Awards.

The 2025 Parkers Awards focused on electrification, with particular attention to value-for-money options in the expanding EV market. Vauxhall was praised by the judges for its work on creating a market where electric and ICE vehicles have price parity, with the Corsa Electric YES Edition cited as a great example of how affordable electric cars can be to own.

This special edition of Britain’s best-selling electric supermini features eye-catching styling, from the GS version, with exclusive Record Red paint and a contrasting black roof. The Corsa Electric YES Edition is available with a fully electric 136PS powertrain for £26,895. With its 50kWh battery, it can cover up to 221 miles (WLTP) on a single charge and can be re-charged from 0-80% in just 30 minutes from a 100kW rapid charger.

The introduction of the special edition Corsa Electric YES Edition was designed to make Vauxhall’s electric models more accessible. Vauxhall has subsequently introduced a new pricing structure for the Corsa Electric, Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric, supporting its efforts to make electric mobility attainable for all.

The Corsa Electric is available in Design trim from the new, lower price of £29,045, with GS and Ultimate versions priced at £31,230 OTR and £33,040 OTR respectively, seeing a maximum reduction of £4,150.

The Corsa Electric Long Range is also available in entry-level Design trim for the first time. Featuring a 51kWh battery and a more powerful 156PS motor for a range of up to 248 miles (WLTP), the Corsa Electric Long Range is priced from £30,440 OTR. The Corsa Electric Long Range prices for the GS and Ultimate trims are £32,625 OTR and £34,435 OTR respectively.

Vauxhall also recently revealed the New Frontera Electric and New Frontera Hybrid will both be available for the same list price, becoming the first manufacturer in the UK to offer list price parity between electric and petrol hybrid versions of the same car.

Keith Adams, Editor, Parkers, said: “Achieving price parity between electric and petrol cars is a tough challenge for manufacturers, given the higher costs of EV components. Yet, Vauxhall has made it possible, and the fact that you can finance a new Corsa Electric for less than a petrol version is why it’s our 2025 Best Value Car. With the 2024 introduction of the ‘Yes Edition,’ Vauxhall took £5,500 off the Corsa Electric’s price, making it an appealing choice. Vauxhall is also lowering prices on its Mokka and Astra EVs, and in 2025, the new Frontera crossover will launch at the same starting price—£23,495—whether petrol or electric, potentially reshaping the market.”

James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “Vauxhall’s success at the 2025 Parkers Awards with the Corsa Electric YES Edition being named ‘Best Value Car’ demonstrates our commitment to making electric mobility accessible to all. Our five-year PCP offer on electric models means customers can enjoy equivalent monthly payments with petrol models over four years, while our new pricing structure across the Corsa Electric line-up makes going electric even more achievable. Thank you to the Parkers judges for this accolade.”

By the end of this year, Vauxhall will offer a fully electric version of every car and van in its line-up. Vauxhall was the UK’s best-selling electric van manufacturer in 2023, while the Corsa Electric was the UK’s best-selling electric supermini and the Mokka Electric the best-selling electric compact crossover model last year.
