Brad Pitt has reportedly pulled out of the first episode of Top Gear, which left Chris Evans and the Top Gear crew scrambling around to find a replacement this week due to filming schedules. Pitt will now be replaced with Batman vs Superman star Jesse Eisenberg, with British TV chef Gordon Ramsay completing the episode one celebrity line-up.

A source told The Sun: “Brad has obviously had filming issues so they’ve had to quickly find another Hollywood name and came up with Jesse. “He played Lex Luthor in the latest Batman vs Superman movie, but is not a heart-throb or a name anything like Brad. Chris Evans is not known in the US so they’ve had to bring in two guests instead of one each week to build the brand out there.”

The Top Gear team have also revealed what we can expect for the first of 6 episodes. Episode 1 will see Chris Evans heading to Nevada, to pit a 645bhp Dodge Viper ACR against a Chevy Corvette Z06 driven by Sabine Schmitz. Elsewhere, Matt LeBlanc takes Ariel’s manic Nomad to Morocco for some fun, while back on British soil, both he and Chris Evans take a rain-soaked road trip to Blackpool in a pair of roofless Reliant Rialtos. It is shaping up to be a UK vs USA challenge.
