(more…)The Department for Transport (DfT) have hired consultants to review how the UK can crack down on rising emissions – and this has led to suggestions that a ‘tyre tax’ could be introduced.
Drivers could be charged on a pay-as-you-go basis in the future as the Government looks to fill a £40 billion hole in motoring taxes.
The government’s decision to investigate the way in which new, more stringent economy and emissions testing is affecting company car tax has been welcomed by the leasing industry.
