(more…)Opel has become the first vehicle manufacturer in the world to offer an electric car for customer rally sport.
After the signature of an agreement with the works council and the IG Metall and as mentioned in the PACE! plan, Groupe PSA will invest in the Rüsselsheim plant and create the sustainability of the site with the production of the next generation Opel Astra as of 2021.

Germany’s Transport Ministry said on Monday it would order roughly 100,000 Vauxhall/Opel vehicles to be recalled as part of an emissions probe, after prosecutors searched the carmaker’s offices earlier in the day.
PSA’s Europe boss Maxime Picat has warned that British car production could be in danger if Britain’s impending exit from the European Union leaves manufacturers needing to build separately for both the British and European market.
(more…)More than two dozen Opel GT fans met up for a group road trip in the southwest of the USA to celebrate the 50th birthday of the iconic sports car. More than 70 percent of the 103,463 cars produced were first registered in the USA, where even today the GT still has a large fan-community.
