Stellantis is taking part in the EV Rally of Scotland between November 8th-12th, helping showcase the capabilities of modern electric cars and the UK’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure over a 1,234-mile ‘e-Tour of Scotland’.

The EV Rally of Scotland takes place during the United Nations COP26 summit in Glasgow and will help to highlight the clean transport solutions already available to buyers during the vital climate summit.

Showcasing the breadth of the Stellantis electric vehicle range, PEUGEOT, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, and Vauxhall, are each supplying models for the rally. Participants will have the chance to experience:

  • PEUGEOT e-208
  • Citroën ë-C4
  • Vauxhall Mokka-e
  • New Fiat 500
  • DS 3 CROSSBACK e-TENSE

The rally will start from Glasgow and work its way through some of Scotland’s most scenic and remote parts, highlighting the capabilities of modern electric vehicles and Scotland’s public charging infrastructure. The vehicles will not be charged overnight, but rather charged while on the road to provide participants a more realistic experience of electric vehicle use.

Stellantis is committed to the switch to electric, having earlier announced it will invest €30 billion between now and 2025 in electrification and software, with a plan to have low emissions vehicles account for 70% of total sales in Europe by 2030. From 2028, Vauxhall will only sell full-electric vehicles, whilst from 2025, DS will only sell full-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, with both brands being several years ahead of the UK Government’s ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans.

Ellesmere Port will also become the first Stellantis manufacturing site to build only electric vehicles.

Alison Jones, UK Group Managing Director and Senior Vice President, Stellantis, said: “The EV Rally of Scotland is a fantastic initiative that will help improve perceptions around electric vehicle range, capabilities and as well as the UK’s charging infrastructure. We’re proud to be taking part in the Rally, and look forward to welcoming participants to try our range during the five days of driving.”
