Network Q will bring together two of the UK and Ireland’s top rising talents to compete on this year’s Wales Rally GB event. The pair will compete for the R2 honours in the international part of the British round of the World Rally Championship in Vauxhall Motorsport Junior Rally Team prepared Adam R2s under the title of Team Network Q.

Both drivers head to Wales Rally GB following excellent performances in their respective championships. English driver Chris Ingram has been flying the British flag in the European Rally Championship, fighting for the overall honours all season, claiming the FIA European Rally Championship two-wheel drive category. Robert Duggan dominated the British Rally Championship R2 class throughout this season claiming the class title in his first year.

The sponsorship forms part of Network Q’s ‘Preparation is Everything’ campaign, which is designed to highlight the extensive preparation process each Network Q vehicle undergoes before sale. Throughout the campaign Network Q is working with a number of organisations in addition to Wales Rally GB to demonstrate how correct preparation is vitally important for optimal performance.

Derek Wilson, Network Q operations director, commented: “We are extremely delighted that Chris and Robert will be representing Network Q during the rally. The pair have a great deal of talent and long futures ahead of them within the sport, we are therefore extremely happy to be able to support them both on their home event at this stage of their careers.

“Our ‘Preparation is Everything’ campaign highlights the importance of meticulous preparation and I know both drivers epitomise this ethos. I look forward to seeing them flying the Network Q flag on the rally later this month.”

Chris Ingram commented: “It is a huge opportunity for me to be driving for Network Q on my home event and I look forward to representing a British manufacturer on a WRC event. The Vauxhall Adam R2 is very similar to the Opel Adam that I have been driving this year in the European Championship so I am sure this will help. Wales Rally GB is a tough event, but I have a good team around me and with the right preparation I am confident that we can do well. It is great to be teamed up with Robert, he is a great driver and I am sure we will push each other to try and win the class victory.”

Robert Duggan, added: ‘I have had a great season this year driving with the Vauxhall Motorsport Junior Rally Team and I was really pleased that I could repay the team for its hard work by winning the R2 Championship. I know that everything that I have learnt this year driving in the British Championship is going to help me perform well on Wales Rally GB this year.

“I am extremely grateful that Network Q has given me the opportunity to finish my season with a drive on Wales Rally GB and I look forward to working with Chris on the rally.”
