Insignia Grand Sport Tries An OPC Suit

GM has just unveiled the new Insignia Grand Sport and rendering artists have already started rolling out their proposals.

The first one is by X-Tomi, who has imagined the new Insignia in OPC guise with a reworked front bumper, extended side skirts, larger wheels, and lowered ride height.

It’s unknown at this point when they will present their new Insignia Grand Sport VXR/OPC. It is nevertheless expected to be faster than its predecessor, which uses a 325 PS (320 HP) and 435 Nm (321 lb-ft) of torque, 2.8-liter turbo V6.

As for the actual car, there’s no official word on powertrains yet, but initially the most potent variant is believed to use a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit with 247-horsepower.
