Britain’s more serious motoring show Fifth Gear is set to return to screens next month – but not on the channel you might expect.

After the previous series aired on ITV4 some two years ago, the show will now appear on the Discovery-operated Quest television channel from Thursday 6th September.

The brand-new series of Fifth Gear will once again see regulars Jason Plato, Vicki Butler-Henderson, Jonny Smith and Tiff Needell return to test, review and compare a huge range of cars – from hot hatchbacks to versatile 4x4s and more.

The new Fifth Gear will also have a few fresh faces added the lineup. Extreme engineer Jimmy De Ville will present a new segment on car modifications, while snooker legend and self-confessed petrol-head Ronnie O’Sullivan will be on road test / review duties.

Also joining the team is ex-F1 driver Karun Chandhok – who will add his talent and experience to put a host of cars through their paces.

Fifth Gear Series 24 promises to feature plenty of series metal – including the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, Audi S5 Coupe, Bentley Continental GT, BMW M2, Ford Fiesta ST, Honda Civic Type R, Kia Stinger GT-S, Range Rover SVR, Renault Alpine A110, Mercedes AMG C63 S, and…. the Dacia Duster.

The new series of Fifth Gear begins 9pm Thursday 6th September exclusively on Quest (Freeview Channel 37).
