To celebrate its light commercial vehicle partnership with the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike (BSB) Championship, Vauxhall invited MV Agusta team rider Danny Kent to its Luton van plant, to receive the first customer delivery of the all-new Vivaro van.

Vauxhall’s all-new Vivaro is in showrooms now as well as on the Vauxhall stand at BSB race week seven at Thruxton on 2nd to 4th August. Vauxhall is the UK’s largest LCV manufacturer with over one million Vivaro-type vans built in Luton since production started in 2001.

A total of six vans will be utilised by BSB to provide both track and offsite support during the season, with the fleet including four Movano and two British-built Vivaro vans.

For the Luton-built Vivaros, BSB opted for a panel van and a five-seater double cab both in top-of-the-range Elite trim in Amber Red. Both vehicles are specified with options including heavy duty tow bar and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The panel van also has a coated lining to protect the cargo area’s floor and walls.

The Movano L3H3 2.3-litre CDTi BiTurbo (145PS) vans are equipped with sat-nav, tachograph and tow bar. The load areas are kitted out with full-height plywood lining and floor.

“The Brit-built Vivaro and Movano vans not only look great but will provide fantastic load-carrying capability both on and off the track,” said Derek Wilson, Vauxhall’s LCV Director.

“We are honoured to receive the first customer delivery of the all-new Vivaro van,” said Stuart Higgs, Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series Director. “The fleet, including the Luton-built Vivaros we collected today, will help with on track logistics throughout the season.”
