Available to order now with prices starting from £19,060 OTR, Vauxhall’s new Crossland SUV features the brand’s distinctive new Vizor front design, the latest advanced drivers assistance technologies available across the range and a sporty SRi Nav trim for the first time.
Building on the wide success of the outgoing model which sold more than 300,000 units worldwide, customers of the new Crossland will benefit from reduced CO2 and fuel consumption, as well as a series of class-leading advanced driver assistance safety technology and equipment. The Crossland has also been redesigned, featuring the new Vauxhall Vizor front end, which will be found across the rest of the brand’s future line-up.
Further enhancing the new Crossland are a range of three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines delivering lively performance and strong efficiency. Cutting edge technology featured on these engines include all-aluminum construction, direct injection and electrically-activated turbochargers.
The engines are complemented by chassis improvements which deliver enhanced driving dynamics and comfort. New springs and dampers for the McPherson front suspension and the torsion-beam rear axle, alongside a new steering column intermediate shaft, improve steering feel and handling.
First deliveries of new Crossland will arrive in Vauxhall showrooms early this year.
DESIGN
- Latest model to feature bold Vauxhall Vizor design language and new Griffin logo
- Choice of two optional contrasting roof colours
- LED headlights now standard across the range
- Easy to use touchscreen infotainment including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
The new Crossland is the latest to feature the brand’s new bold design language, that includes the new Vauxhall Vizor front-end first seen on the all-new Mokka. Like the Mokka, the Vauxhall Crossland has dropped the X suffix in its name.
As part of the new Vauxhall Vizor front panel, a single module runs across the face of the new Crossland, containing LED headlights and the new Griffin logo. At the rear, new dark-tinted taillights and a new high-gloss black tailgate surface give the Crossland a wider stance. The rear bumper has also been revised with a Crossland badge boldly laid out in the middle of the tailgate.
The new Crossland also features new front and rear skid plates, chrome door mouldings and a new range of 16- and 17-inch wheels. Sporty SRi models will feature 17-inch alloys and a black roof with a red window accent – helping the compact SUV stand out.
In total there are seven exterior paint colours to choose from, including bold shades such as Hot Red and Power Orange. There is also a option of White Jade or Diamond Black finish for a contrasting roof colour.
Inside, there are new fabrics and trim materials that enhance the stylish design and promote even greater comfort for the driver and passengers. The rear seats feature a practical 60/40 split and slide by up to 150mm, helping customers to increase boot space from 410 litres to 520 litres. The sliding rear seat forms a part of the Versatility Pack and is standard on SRi Nav and Ultimate Nav models. With the rear seats folded, the new Crossland provides 1,255 litres of boot space.
POWERTRAINS
- Range of high efficiency three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines
- Includes turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesels
- Compliant with latest RDE2 and Euro 6d regulations
- Optional smooth-shifting six-speed automatic available
With the new Crossland customers can choose from a range of Vauxhall’s advanced and efficient powertrains, all of which meet the latest RDE2-compliant Euro 6d regulations. Both petrol and diesel options strike the ideal balance between low fuel consumption and driving excitement.
The new Crossland sees revised front and rear damper tuning resulting in a smoother ride, especially at higher motorways speeds. The steering has also been tuned inline with the new damping, resulting in more confidence on motorways and corners.
Petrol engines
Strong efficiency and excellent performance are signature characteristics of the three-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engines, which are available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged guises. Internal friction and friction losses have been reduced to a minimum, resulting in smooth and efficient power delivery.
For the new Crossland, the engine line-up starts with an entry-level 1.2-litre (83PS) petrol unit fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard. Maximum torque is 118Nm, and like all Crossland petrol engines this figure is developed at just 1,750rpm for excellent throttle response.
This engine is complemented by Vauxhall’s direct-injection, all-aluminium, turbocharged 1.2-litre engine that’s fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2-litre (110PS) petrol delivers maximum torque of 205Nm, while the more powerful 1.2-litre (130PS) petrol provides an impressive 300Nm of torque.
In addition to the six-speed manual, customers can choose to pair the 1.2-litre (130PS) petrol with a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission
Diesel engines
The new Crossland’s 1.5-litre, three-cylinder diesel engines offer 110PS and 120PS, as well as 250Nm to 300Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre (110PS) diesel (features a standard six-speed manual gearbox for lively performance and excellent efficiency. The 1.5-litre (120PS) is available exclusively with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Both engines feature the latest common rail fuel injection system that operates at up to 2,000 bar. Efficiency is further enhanced by the inclusion of an electrically-activated turbocharger with variable geometry turbine vanes and, like their petrol counterparts, a balance shaft in the block for additional refinement. Likewise, the exhaust manifold is also integrated in the cylinder head.
The Crossland 1.5 diesel also benefits from an emissions reduction system that comprises a passive oxidation catalyst, AdBlue injector, SCR catalyst and a Diesel Particulate Filter.

Other advanced features available on the new Crossland include Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Recognition. The automatic emergency braking system uses radars to reduce the car’s speed by up to 31mph in order to avoid or reduce the force of a heavy collision. Depending on the speed, the system can identify vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles and motorbikes.
A Driver Drowsiness Alert can also be specified for the new Crossland, the system warning the driver, via audio and visual signals at three levels, to take a break after two hours of driving at speeds higher than 40mph. In addition, the system can suggest the driver take a break at any time if it detects that the car is behaving erratically, such as swerving.
Finally, the optional Panoramic Rear View Camera increases visibility by up to 180 degrees behind the car, enabling drivers to see traffic approaching from the left or right when reversing out of parking spaces or driveways.
